John Robert Dent Quilt

The Great Northern Quilt Show 2004 at Harrogate, England

The black & white photograph is of my father while he was at officer training for the
West Yorks regiment. The photo was put through a computer program and pixilated
then a quilt was created by using fabric to create the pixels.

I am prepared to make these quilts on commission, but the end result is dependant upon
the quality and contrast of the original photograph used. Please contact me for details,
pricing depends upon the finished size of the quilt.

I wanted to make a portrait of someone most people would recognise, and someone worthy of the amount of time and effort that goes into making one of these quilts.

Winston was one of the world's true heroes in the eyes of the British, and a real character. His words still guide people today, which is why a few of his quotations are embroidered onto the quilt.
